Fortunate Son Chinese
To kick off the start of my birthday week (yes birthday week), I had the amazing opportunity to visit Fortunate Son Chinese, located in North Park San Diego.
What immediately drew me to visit this restaurant was their Instagram. Please, if you have a chance, check out their amazing aesthetically pleasing feed. I promise their food is just as amazing as it looks. I knew that this place was going to be a hit because, at the time, you had to make reservations way ahead in advance. Which, in my honest opinion is always a great sign that a restaurant is going to be a hit!
Before I get into what we ordered, I wanted to give a shoutout to the staff at Fortunate Son, given the fact that they were able to accommodate my party, as we all got to sit next to each other. You all rock for that!
With one look at the menu, my whole party decided that everything just looked and sounded amazing. So, the manner in which we all decided to approach dinner was all of us ordering one dish and sharing it with the table, that way we could try literally everything.
The plate that I ordered was of course the beef and broccoli, because who doesn't love this dish? I literally grew up eating this.

The other items that we ordered were:
Kung Pao Chicken
Orange Chicken
FS Egg Rolls
Lo Mein Noodles
General Tso's Chicken
Yeah. We ordered A LOT. But it was great. The food was definitely so yummy. I seriously will be returning here soon. The most important part of the night was being able to have dinner in good company. Lately, I have been feeling as if this chapter of my life is approaching a growth season. Having all of my friends within my inner circle put me in the best mood ever, and after having a couple of deep conversations with the table, I knew that the next couple of months were going to be great with all the love and support that they gave me.
If you ever find yourself in San Diego, go visit Fortunate Son Chinese. Bring some friends because you are going to want to split everything like my party and I did!
Cheers!
